Who Are We?
One question from the video that stood out to me was, “Who are you? How does the world see you? What’s the difference?” I think this is an important question because people sometimes judge us before they really know us. Grant talked about being biracial and how people made assumptions about him because of his race and the way he speaks. This made me think about how students can feel when others put them in a certain box. As a future teacher, I want to remember that every student has their own story. Teachers should take time to listen and learn about their students instead of making assumptions. The video also showed how important it is to give students a space where they can share their real feelings. #Identity #FutureTeachers
